Fiona Lynch is Creative Director of Melbourne-based interior design studio, Fiona Lynch Office. Following her education at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak she undertook her tertiary art and design studies at RMIT. Since then, in establishing Fiona Lynch Office, she has worked across Australia and internationally. The studio’s work spans hotels, multi-residential developments, cultural institutions, retail and bespoke private homes. Fiona’s project work is guided by robust design thinking, realised through a commitment to craft, materiality and detail. The studio’s work has been published extensively and accrued a multitude of awards, including Vogue’s inaugural Designer of the Year (2024) and Design Anthology’s Female Designer of the Year (2021).

In 2023 Fiona became a Fellow of the Design Institute of Australia for her contribution to the Australian design industry. Alongside project work, Fiona’s studio also continues to nurture experimentation through Workshop, a gallery program supporting Australian artists and designers to test ideas and present new work. The studio also researches and documents sustainable materials within Future Archive, an open platform where she shares her knowledge with the community and the design industry, aiming to contribute to long term environmental gains in the design space.

Fiona has worked with high profile cultural institutions such as the National Gallery of Victoria and the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney and is the author of several books on her design philosophy. Fiona’s work embodies excellence, leadership and innovation across the arts, design and the creative landscape of Australia.
