After completing Year 12 at Loreto Toorak in 2025, Catherine commenced her medical degree. Since her graduation Catherine has worked to advance health, equity and environmental sustainability with contributions that have spanned education, policy, advocacy and research. Catherine spent multiple years working for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations in remote and very remote areas of the Northern Territory, working in authentic partnerships with numerous communities.

After returning to live in Melbourne, Catherine has continued to address rural medical workforce shortages by working as a medical educator training general practitioners in underserved rural communities. She is currently serving as a national lead medical educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners redesigning a key rural general practice training program.

Catherine is a long-term champion of action to build community resilience to climate impacts and promote environmental sustainability. She is the current President of the Climate and Health Alliance - Australia’s peak body on climate change and health. Catherine has served as the Climate Convenor and non-executive director of Doctors for the Environment Australia, as well as being a member of the United Nations Sustainability Solutions Network for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. In these roles she has led high impact local, national and global campaigns that have mobilised millions of health professionals.

Catherine has been a leader in adapting medical education and training programs to ensure that the medical workforce is equipped to respond to the community health needs arising from climate change and has undertaken innovative research into the population health impacts of climate change.
